Dear Aunt Vi, and cousins Donna, Steve and Brian
I was heart broken to hear of Uncle Dave's passing. He was such an enjoyable person to spend time with and a wonderful loving Uncle - my favorite. I will miss him deeply as will my parents. I know you must have deep pain at this time and please know I will be praying regularly for you all at this very difficult time. I hope we can stay in touch and I can't wait to see my Uncle Dave in heaven one day. I am sure he will beat me to say "play with ya?" That was our game for the last 40 years or so. I send you my love and deepest sympathy.

Dave Murphy. How could you describe him? Nice, thoughtful, generous,kind.... those adjectives are just a few of many. He was always by my mother's side, through thick and thin. I will forever be grateful for him bringing so much happiness to my mother and her family. The stories she tell me about him blow my mind. Even though it hurts now, just know there is a party up in heaven. He is being congratulated for completing the circle of life, and he is celebrating with the ones who have gone before us. He is no longer hurting. Think of that. He is o.k. and happy. He wants you to feel the same way. He wants you to cherish the memories and remember him in a good way. He will forever be remembered by those who love him.

The Murphy family,
I have always considered myself so fortunate to have Dave in my life. I always knew I could count on Dave when times were tough. When one thinks of a tax CPA, the word "fun" doesn't immediately come to mind. Yet, if you look at the messages of all, that is the one word that keeps appearing. He always made the good times better and made the bad times easier with his sense of humor and his heart of gold. I have lost a lot in my life, and now I have lost Dave, but I know how lucky I was to have had the best. I know your pain must be unbearable but please remember Dave enjoyed life so much and I know he wants that for you. Dave will be leading the Holy Cross cheering squad in heaven putting a smile on everyone's face up there. He will live forever in my heart. May God Bless.
Love, Lauren

I know we will all miss Dave, the master bartender at the "Lounge". A great friend, husband and man. Always had a fun time way back when. So, Dave, save me a stool at the Bar.

"Hey, Timmy ... this noogie will make you smarter."
It did not work, but I greatly appreciated the attention.
Uncle Dave was my favorite.

Auntie Vi, Donna, Steven, and Brian--
I'm very sad to hear that Uncle Dave has passed. Like my sisters, I have to agree that Uncle Dave was the "fun uncle"--also the funny uncle. I felt very lucky and privileged that he was my godfather. I'm sure that you have lots of memories and stories to share with the young ones, and so he will live on. Keeping you in my thoughts.

Dear Aunt Vi, Donna, Steve and Brian,
I am so very sorry to hear of Uncle David's passing. I was explaining to my daughter who he was to me and I also said he was the "fun" uncle. Always the one to get something from the Ice Cream truck down the Cape, take us to swim in Long Pond, ever cheerful and good for a laugh especially when teamed up with his brother Jim! I will always have cherished memories and you are in my thoghts and my prayers at this difficult time.
Ellen
Dear Aunt Vi and Cousins,
I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Uncle David. I know each of you will miss him greatly as will all those who had the good fortune to know him. I will always remember Uncle David as the "fun" Uncle; always a smile, a joke and eating all kinds of forbidden foods.... Uncle David - Please give mom and dad a hug.
Love,
Cousin Ellen
